Heartsaver First Aid Course: 5 Hours

This course is suitable for: Parents, Au Pairs, Teachers and Assistants, Coaches, Aftercare Staff, Matriculants and Scholars, Caregivers, Child Minders and/or persons dealing with children within the work environment or on a daily basis needing to know the basics of First Aid.

No prior knowledge/training required.

This includes:

  • A First Aid (Heartsaver) Manual.

  • Mouth-to-mouth barrier device.

  • Gloves.

  • Call card.

  • Memory cards.

  • Personalized tuition in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa and American Heart Association.

This is an approved course as per the Resuscitation Council guidelines, but is not as yet approved by the Dept. of Labour.

It is a very comprehensive and intensive programme and covers mostly the same topics as the Level 1 Course with both a written test and practical test.

On completion of the course, the participant will be issued with a Heartsaver First Aid certificate, valid for 2 years.
